Synergia Piano Trio

Who We Are

International piano trio based in Germany

Maria Shykyrinska, Ukrainian-German pianist, Camilo Chaparro, cellist from Colombia, and Andria Chang, American of Taiwanese origin, founded Synergia Piano Trio in the spring of 2019. Since then, the young ensemble has focused on harmonious collaboration, the joy of making music, and mutual development.

The trio's repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary music, allowing them to explore the diversity of musical expression. Together they have traveled their musical journey, each individually developing their artistic personality and completing master's degrees with various renowned professors.

In 2024, the trio earned their Master’s degree in Chamber Music together at the Musikhochschule Hanns Eisler Berlin with Professor Wolfgang Redik. They have also been taught and inspired by distinguished teachers such as Eberhard Feltz, Midori Seiler, Pieter Wispelwey, Anthony Spiri, Jonathan Aner, Ariadne Daskalakis, and many others.

Synergia Piano Trio has had many influential experiences, including the Chamber Music Week in Montepulciano, the International Summer Academy of Chamber Music in Frenswegen including several concerts of the festival there, as well as a radio recording and broadcast by WDR 1. In 2021, Synergia Piano Trio received first prize in the chamber music category at the 21st International Festival Competition, LAMS (Laboratorio Arte, Musica e Spettacolo) Matera Award.

In the same year, the trio participated in the cycle "Young Virtuosos" and performed in the concert hall of Theater Mönchengladbach. A review in the Rheinische Post praised:

"[The first piece] already showed the maturity and sovereignty of the violinist playing brilliantly, the cellist contributing with sensitivity and beauty of tone, and the pianist dominating without arrogance with her springy-airy touch."

"...in a stirring, flawless rendition - perfect chamber music bliss. Enthusiastic applause, a Schubert encore and the much-expressed wish to invite the trio again."

In addition, the Trio made a guest appearance at Schloss Rheydt in 2022 with a concert as part of the "Muziek Biennale Niederrhein" festival . In the summer of the same year, they performed in the concert hall of the Musikhochschule Hanns Eisler Berlin; Rebecca Clarke's lesser known trio was given as a feature to the chamber music festival.

In 2023, the trio participated in the concert series "Forum Deutscher Musikhochschulen" with a successful concert in the Mathias-Jakobs-Stadthalle in Gladbeck.
